By booking a session with Curiosity Driven Tutoring, you agree to the following policies.

Booking Policy:

As of September 1st, 2022, a tutoring session will be considered confirmed only once it has been paid in full. A session will not be considered confirmed, and thus a time slot will not be held, prior to the receipt of payment.

Reservation of a consistent weekly tutoring session time slot can be maintained with regular monthly payment for sessions. Payment must be received a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the first tutoring session of that month. Discounts are available for tutoring sessions paid monthly.

If you require a more flexible option, sessions can be booked individually, with payment being due upon scheduling the session. Discounts are available to those desiring to pre-pay for multiple sessions. Pre-paid sessions can be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance, as permitted by the availability of the student and tutor.

Cancellation Policy:

Sessions cancelled more than 24 hours in advance will be credited against the students’ account. These cancelled sessions can be rescheduled as the availability of the student and tutor permits. In the case of monthly payment, they may also be used as a credit towards another month’s fee.

Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable. This policy may be waived in the case of extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of the tutor.

If the student for whom a tutoring session has been booked does not show up to a session, it is non-refundable. Sessions will be considered cancelled without notice if the student has not arrived by 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.

Zoom Video Communication – Information and Policies:

Your participation will result in the disclosure of personal information to Zoom Video Communications. 

The personal information collected includes your display name, which may include your first and last name if you choose to enter them, information about your device, network, and internet connection (e.g., IP address(es), MAC address, device type, operating system, and client version), information about your usage of or the interaction with Zoom products, and other information you upload, provide, or create while attending a Zoom session. 

Sessions will not be recorded. Whiteboard content from each session will be captured, and can be provided to students at their request. A students’ image may also be captured, but will not be used without the express written consent of their parent.
